Here’s how one gets a cab in Cologne: order per telephone at 19 410 or directly at the taxi stands. Vacant cabs also stop for hailers. At night, one can see the lit sign on the cars’ roofs. Upon entering the vehicle, there’s a charge of €2.00 due, plus and €1 when you hail it. For the trip the cost per kilometer is €1.25 from 6am to 10pm €1.35 from 10pm to 6am as well as Sundays and Holidays. Waiting time, for example, at a stop light, costs €0.27/min. One can pay with a credit card in many cabs. It’s always better to ask the driver or call the switch- board before your trip.

Additional services

Next to limos one can get a combination car and large space cab for small groups. Also per wish are non-smoking cars or those with AC. When pets are traveling with, the necessary instruments are available if one orders through the switchboard. The switch- board can also order multi-lingual taxi drivers. Ordering from the train: In all InterCity trains you can order a taxi for your destination train station.
